While perusing Grandin Road this early fall, I came upon the cutest Woodland Pumpkin Animals. But at $80 a pop they were a little out of budget. 

My fall decor collection really could have used some woodland animals, though. What was I to do? Head to the Dollar Tree, of course!

That's right, I brought these little cuties to life with Styrofoam Dollar Tree pumpkins. And it might not look it, but it was actually pretty easy. 

If your girl is into 18 inch dolls I'm sure you're thrilled that she enjoys such wholesome and inspiring toys. But with all of her doll's adorable accessories comes some serious storage needs.

​Can you believe this doll school is made out of gift boxes and gives us a place to play with and store a desk, stool, bookshelf, globe, chemistry cart, and more?

​What's even better is that this fold and go box costs under $20 to make, far less than a name brand doll room.

My kids are always collecting things when we go outside to play so, I thought a little explorer bag would be just the thing to keep all of their findings in. Not only is it fun to take outside, but also makes a great dress up accessory.

This bag was so easy and inexpensive, just about $2 to make! You can get really creative and use fun colored foam and unique ribbon, but I went with a classic looking messenger bag for this one. 

​Sending things via snail mail is one of the most fun ways to communicate with family and friends. I love the joy that a good old fashioned letter can bring to others. And I love teaching my kids to make this a part of their lives, too.

My mother in law is a twelve hour drive from us so I especially like to send the occasional funsy in the mail, little things that help her experience her grandkids’ childhoods even though we’re far apart.

YouTube is one of my favorite media sources for my kids, but you know, I rarely hear parents or grandparents go on about how much they love YouTube. And I understand why, it's full of junk! But with that comes some really great content that can actually help your kids develop wisdom, good taste, and culture.

Do you hope your daughter grows into a nice young woman who is thoughtful, has good manners, takes care of herself, and truly enjoys life? Me too!

​These traits are really what being a lady is all about.

But the reality of raising free-spirited, fun having little girls into ladies who act with grace is not always easy. Emotions can run high as we try to convince our daughters that this disposition will benefit her in the long run.
