I thought it was such a cute piece to help create an overwhelmingly pink vignette. How cute is her Maileg like mouse popped up in there? I'd love to make some cute little faux chocolates to fill up the plate, but ran out of time this year. Thank goodness you can always count on real chocolate even as a decorative piece. She was not disappointed. I updated this frame from a turquoise geometric design to this pretty pink glittery look with Mod Podge. I added in the beautiful fine art painting after printing it off in our office. I chose this particular piece of art because this beautiful lady looks strong and content. She's holding such a gorgeous bundle of flowers and whether they came from someone or she gathered them herself she is in love with life. Here is a free printable for you: Jeune Femme aux Roses by Emile Vernon And that LOVE card right there? I made that as my daughter's Valentine card this year. I absolutely love the way it turned out. I thrifted that cute little lunch style pail at Goodwill for just .99 cents. I love the inspirational message to "Follow Your Heart" and the touch of blue on this lunch box. Blue is my daughter's favorite color so I couldn't get by without including some in this decorative space. She also loves teddy bears and this little porcelain one came to us from my grandma when my grandparent's moved and downsized. He's delivering a letter with a little heart seal, how cute is that? We decorated this crafty mailbox when my daughter was in Kindergarten for her class Valentine's party. They don't use them anymore so here it sits on her shelf as an adorable storage piece for all of her past valentines. I love that she'll be able to look back at them through the years. Have you and your daughter read the Lola Dutch books? They are some of my favorites in my daughters library because Lola Dutch is so much like my daughter. She's eager to try everything and does it all with her adorable band of stuffed animal friends. In creating this Valentine's vignette for my little girl, I had this sort of galentine's vibe flowing out of me. I'd prefer that as she grows she focuses on how this can be a day to love and appreciate our friends and family. Crushing on boys and wanting for a romantic relationship as a child is such a waste of thought energy and time when there are big, amazing things we can do as children that become more difficult as our responsibilities develop into adulthood. A little glass pair of love birds that also came from my Grandma. These two are just adorable in this vignette and again add a touch of blue.
