I always enjoy decorating my kids' rooms for holidays, though I usually keep it pretty subtle when it comes to my son's room.

However, I just couldn't help myself this Christmas. It's such a magical time of year for any kid and I thought, "Why not?!" 

​I put together three small vignettes all with an overall vintage feel that are masculine and still very fun for a child.

When I set out to create a cute little faux topiary for our guest room I had no idea that it was going to turn out so darn perfect.

Take a look at the "dirt". Isn't that amazing?! I originally intended to use moss to cover the bottom. 

I don't know what came over me though. I just started mixing stuff and somehow came up with the perfect artificial dirt. 

Trick or treat, smell my feet... ew. Ok nevermind. I'm glad I'm never home to hear that icky chant on Halloween night. 

I'm just kidding, my kids and I had some good laughs this October chanting that old fashioned rhyme. 

​But I am seriously never home on Halloween night, despite how much I love personally handing out candy. So, I needed a sign. Can you believe this was a thrift flip?

This charming little witch's altar makes such a statement, but cost me almost nothing! 

I used craft materials and thrifty decor to bring a Halloween story to life in my daughter's room.

It only took me one year to complete this tiny kids bathroom makeover. I know! That's forever, but after planning this simple design and acquiring all of the accessories, I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

Until this year that is. You see, my kids were just so messy in their bathroom I never really wanted to put these chic things out. 

But this year I really wanted the refresh and getting it done in time for back to school was the goal.
