I decided to put together a DIY stationery set as so many of the sets I see for girls are a little garish. We are really happy with the way it turned out!
I started by selecting personal return address labels with my daughter's name on them. I knew she would be just tickled by that. I got these cute ones with butterflies, flowers, and a snail from Shutterfly.
I chose these first because I wanted to be sure the letter paper went well with them, as there are fewer options when it comes to address labels. Next, I chose the letter paper and matching envelopes. I found this gorgeous floral paper on Etsy from the gorgeous shop Sonia Cavallini. This beautiful paper came all the way from Paris, France; tres charmant!
I decided to go with the rainbow stickers from Hobby Lobby as envelope seals. I wasn't spotting any florals that matched well enough, but I think they fit in nicely with this pleasant and feminine outdoor theme.
I'm not sure how well the donut erasers paired with all of this, however, my daughter received them in her Christmas stocking and the stationery kit seemed like the perfect place to store them. They are rather cute though. I believe I picked the thank you cards up from Target and love how they pair with the envelope sticker seals. I found the letter opener to be a must have so that she can open her letters from her pen pal, and others, without tearing up any of the contents. I got this set of three on Amazon.
My daughter received this set of Amelia Bedelia chapter books for Christmas and they came with this super cute post card. She decided to put it in her stationery kit for when she needs the perfect thank you response.
This rose gold toned book is my daughter's new address book, a chic necessity.
As my daughter is learning how to converse with a pen pal and carry on an interesting conversation on paper and overseas, I thought this handy book would give her some great inspiration.
