1. Drink Lemon Water
First things first, prepare yourself a lemon water. Use a beautiful glass, one that feels elegant. Add ice, water, and a little lemon juice. Fresh lemon is great, but I always keep a bottle of lemon juice on hand for convenience. Drink half of this detoxing concoction while your shower heats up and then the other half when you are done. One of my favorite things at the day spa is the cucumber water, but I will usually make a pitcher a day or two before a spa day at home. Lemon water is a fast alternative. 2. Sprinkle Essential Oils Once, you've stepped into your shower, sprinkle your favorite essential oil all around. I sprinkle it on the shower walls and on the shower floor. The heat diffuses the oil for an aromatic caress to your senses. I always have at least one bottle of essential oil on the shower shelf so that I can enjoy therapeutic relaxation easily and any time I want. 3. Use A Cotton Wash Cloth I've already shared this money saving beauty secret and why its so good for you, but it's a key to creating a spa experience in your shower. One of my favorite parts of going to the spa is getting a facial. My skin feels so smooth and revitalized. But you don't need the fancy products or time that they use to achieve this result. Use a cotton wash cloth to scrub your face in the shower for fast rejuvenation. 4. Apply A Face Mask Start your shower off by cleansing your face, gently scrubbing with a wash cloth, and then apply a 5-10 minute face mask that rinses off. While it works its magic you can do other things like shampoo and condition your hair. I like to use brightening masks as they truly make my skin look more radiant. 5. Use Body Oil Wash your body with a natural sponge to slough away dead skin cells. Now, pour a bit of fine body oil into your hands and then rub allover as if you were applying lotion. Try to make it even and thin. This will replenish your skin with moisture and softness.
