Here's how to make it... Step One Clean up the tracks if needed. Some of ours had chunks of dried play doh on them. Step Two Paint the tracks with a good coat of paint. I did one nice coat with good coverage so I didn't have to paint them twice. I did the tops, let those dry and them turned them over and painted the back sides too. Personally, I would have loved some more rich and vintage looking colors to go in my son's vintage trains themed room, but this is what was readily available at the stores I went to. Not bad though, they are bright and fun. Perfect for play time! I chose to use enamel gloss paint over acrylic craft paint. Enamel holds up very well and I only painted one coat on these. Still, ours have a few small chips in the paint. After all, my sons plays with them a lot and when it's time to clean up they are usually tossed into their bins with no holding back. Have fun!
